About the Founder
Sandra Hughes Smith, ALM, CPTD, SHRM-CP is the Founder & Chief Architect of Trust Sandbox® and the founder of Millcreek Enterprises, an innovation company dedicated to helping individuals, families, and organizations build self-reliance through education, technology, and practical learning experiences. Sandra is an organizational psychologist, learning strategist, and technology innovator with a career spanning banking, insurance, organizational development, artificial intelligence, and enterprise learning. She holds a Master of Liberal Arts in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Harvard Extension School and is recognized for designing learning solutions that simplify complex topics and improve decision-making. She spent more than five years working in banking and financial services, where she developed a deep understanding of financial products, risk management, regulatory environments, and customer education. Throughout her career, she has designed enterprise learning solutions for the banking, property and casualty (P&C) insurance, and life insurance industries, helping organizations transform complex regulations, financial products, business processes, and compliance requirements into engaging, practical learning experiences. Sandra has also led AI-enabled workforce transformation initiatives and enterprise leadership development programs while creating innovative learning technologies for organizations ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies. Her work combines learning science, behavioral psychology, instructional design, and emerging technologies to help people confidently navigate complex decisions. The inspiration for Trust Sandbox® grew from a simple observation: families are often expected to make life-changing estate planning decisions without fully understanding how trusts work or how those decisions may impact future generations. Sandra envisioned a safe, interactive environment where people could explore realistic scenarios, test decisions, and build confidence before those decisions become reality. Today, Trust Sandbox® brings together her expertise in behavioral science, financial services, artificial intelligence, enterprise learning, and educational technology to make estate planning more understandable, accessible, and empowering for families, financial professionals, and estate planning attorneys.

We are not replacing professional legal advice—we are preparing people to have more informed, productive conversations with the professionals they trust. Who can see it
Only you. Our staff can't browse your entries. We never sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing.
